Our Weekend Getaway to Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah

Park City, Utah

Our adventure began at the Park City Peaks Hotel, a cozy boutique hotel near downtown Park City. We loved the complimentary breakfast each morning and the fact that it’s pet-friendly – perfect for those of you who love to travel with your furry friends. The hotel has amazing amenities, including indoor and outdoor heated pools, two hot tubs, a sauna, and a steam room. After a day of exploring, soaking in a hot tub was pure bliss.

Dine:

The Eating Establishment: This place has been serving delicious meals since the '70s. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast there, and I have to say, the eggs benedict was a standout!

Harvest: For lunch, we headed to Harvest, known for its fresh, organic, farm-to-table dishes. The avocado toast was divine and made us feel like we were truly indulging in a local culinary delight.

High West Saloon: Our dinner spot was the High West Saloon. As the world’s only ski-in distillery and gastro-saloon, it’s a must-visit. We savored their award-winning whiskey and hearty pub fare – a perfect end to our day in Park City.

Experience: Park City Gardens

In between meals, we visited Park City Gardens. This beautiful nursery and garden center was a peaceful escape. We strolled among the stunning plants and enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. It was a lovely way to slow down and soak in the beauty of nature.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Next, we made our way to Salt Lake City and checked into the Salt Lake City Hyatt Regency. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring downtown, and we loved the rooftop heated pool with its stunning views of the city and snow-capped mountains. Plus, having a Starbucks and market in the lobby was super convenient for quick bites and coffee runs.

Dine:

Fisher Brewing Company: For a casual night out, we visited Fisher Brewing Company. They have a fantastic selection of craft beers, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some quality brews.

White Horse Spirits and Kitchen: We dined at White Horse Spirits and Kitchen, a modern American brasserie. The dishes were robust and flavorful, and the cocktails were exceptional. It’s a stylish spot with a great atmosphere.

Baby's Bagels: One morning, we grabbed breakfast at Baby's Bagels. I tried the Egg and Cheese with Bacon on a Salt Bagel, and let me tell you, it’s the best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Hall Pass: For a diverse dining experience, we visited Hall Pass, a vibrant food hall with a variety of restaurant choices. Whether you’re craving sushi, pizza, or something sweet, you’ll find it here. It’s a great spot for everyone to find something they love.

Traeger Headquarters

One of the highlights of our trip was being invited to the Traeger Headquarters, located just southeast of downtown Salt Lake City. We attended the Traeger Day event, and it was nothing short of amazing. Picture this: over 200 BBQ enthusiasts, signature cocktails, a DJ, and an impressive pig ice sculpture. The food was out of this world – pork fried rice, pulled pork sliders, massive chicken wings, burnt end ribs, elotes, pretzel bites with queso dip, and more. It was a BBQ lover’s paradise, and we’re already counting down the days until next year’s celebration.

Thank you for having us Traeger!
